So today was arguably the biggest match in US history. I, myself, was watching it in the comfort of my home. When I say comfort, I loosely use that term. Here is a "minute to minute" history of my reactions.

Each minute is listed as (x minute) and an apostrophe " ' ". For those of you who get confused.

Pre-game: US team looks ready. They look determined to bring home a win and move on to the knockout stages. Onyewu, Torres, and Findley, who's suspended, are not starting and Bornstein, Edu, and Hercules Gomez, who has the best first name ever, get their first World Cup starts.

1' - 6': Good passing and good defense. Some errand shots from both teams and its obvious they are still warming up.

7:24': Algerian striker volleys a shot and hits the crossbar... needed a paramedic to resuscitate me.

9' - 12': US are now attacking well. Gomez, Donovan, and Dempsey have had good open chances. Bob Bradley is emotionless. Surprise surprise.

19:32': US hits on counter attack. Algerian goalie makes a save on Gomez. Second attempt gomez sends it left and dempsey puts it in ! GOALLLLLLL.....sike. Sideline ref calls offside.

20' - 21': Commentators can't stop bashing the referees. Replays and offside technology show that Dempsey was onside. Dempsey was in line with the last defender. YET ANOTHER GOAL DISALLOWED BY A REF.

22': Report of an England goal is made knowledge. Defoe puts England ahead 1 - 0.

23' and on: The commentators are saying that 'it is the sideline ref's job to be in position to judge offside. He was not in proper position to make the call. The referees are not doing their jobs." GEE WHAT A SURPRISE.

32:08': Commentators still ripping the referees. How Dempsey was onside... Recurring theme

34': Dempsey makes a run and Donovan feeds him a skilled pass. Dempsey is onside and is shut down by the goalie. This goalie is making some crucial saves.

36': Beautiful passing display. Donovan to Bradley and back to Donovan. Shot on goal is blocked. WIDE OPEN NET and Jozy launches it high. The chances are pouring in. Don't know if my heart can take this to be honest.

During this entire first half: Brother, Chris, and I are exchanging Blackberry Messanger IMs. We are both cursing these referees to God knows where. He is watching a telemundo cast and I'm watching the ESPN cast. His is more exciting and mine is more technology advanced. Hee Hee.

39': Algeria is onside yet they call it offside. Man these referees are just wow. Guess they made up the bad call?

42': Dempsey hits a shot for the lower left corner and goalie makes save. Dempsey is playing with an amazing confidence.

42:40': Algeria is making good chances. Taking long shots that are close on target. US needs to close down so I can continue living.

43:35': DeMerit is chasing a striker down and one can see blood down his left knee. Not just a little. Like a giant patch. He is a champ.

45': One minute of additional time. How is that determined? Rules state the referee on the sideline keeps track of the time when play is stopped. Sometimes we'll see 4' of extra time or 1'. Hm. Thought provoking huh?

46': Referee blows for half time. Excellent start for US minus the missed chances. Hm. I'm predicting two goals from the US in the second half. HERE WE GO USBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Half-time: First commercial is for the Adidas F50s starring David Villa, star Spanish striker, and Lionel Messi, best player in world. These two are going to be on the same club team. Oh my lord. The 'Write the Future' commercial plays with Robinho starring it. Best World Cup commercial by far. At least the full length version of it. Feed shows former President Bill Clinton in the stands.
Maradona was declared a genius for winning his first 3 games. He has Messi in a group of Nigeria, South Korea, and Greece. A monkey could coach Argentina to that win. Regardless, he's done better than most expected. This BING commercial with 'los links' is getting old and a bit out of the ordinary. No woman is going to get on the horse in a french maid outfit with another man and woman already on it. It's too vague. But hey, whatever sells.

The Adidas F50 commercial airs again. I don't want to think about Barcelona with Villa, Messi, and Ibra up front. Oh lord...

Post-half: The cast shows the different fans and the vuvuzelas. I love the vuvuzela. DON'T BAN THEM. Benny Feilhaber is coming on for Herculez Gomez. Aw. Poor Herculez. Dempsey is going to move into the forward position and Feilhaber is put into midfield. We'll see how this plays out.

45:27': Bornstein makes a run down the left and sends in a cross. love to see the fact we're attacking early and quick.

46:01': Matmour is called offside. Need a change of shorts after that play.

47:40': Laptop is dying...CHARGER! Commentators are rambling off ridiculous facts. Algerian defense is sturdy, clearing a lot of the US attacks.

50:38': Commentator mentions Feilhaber is brazilian. WE'RE GOING TO WIN.

53:23: Jozy is wanting the ball a lot. Good to see the youngster growing.

55:29': Commentator asks 'How are your nerves?' My response: Non-existant.

56:23': HEART STOPPED. Dempsey hits the post and misses the rebound. .........::heart finally beats:: okay come on US.

58:20': Yebda tries a chilena. He fails.

Ongoing: Jozy is really impressing me. He is maturing bigtime. Holding possession, using his size to control the tempo, and a great amount of confidence.

61:20': Jozy gets a yellow for a late arm reach. These yellows are simply outrageous sometimes the simplest of touches wind up a card. And a cross is sent in from Ddjebour and Bocanegra clears. Good God US you're killing me.

64': Edu is off and Buddle is on. Dempsey back into the midfield and Buddle is sent to the striker position. Feilhaber sends a ball across goal and the keeper barely gets a touch on the ball. Corner kick.

65:25': Corner goes in and ball just barely goes wide. Oh my this is just nerve racking

67:38': Jozy heads it at goal and he hits the goalie. What is going on?! And then the counter attack leaves the US wide open and almost allow a goal. OH MY GOD.

69:50': Almost an own goal. Goodness. Corner kick

72:05': Algeria seems to love these long shots. They have yet to hit the goal from a distance. England is winning. At this point, USA would be knocked out on the draw. Oh heart, hold in there.

73': Altidore is knocked over and wins a free-kick a yard outside the box. CMON DONOVAN

73:51': Free-kick is sent in and its high. The attendance is 35,827. Imagine the noise that is made. Free kick again after a foul in the 75'.

75:50': Algerian defender knocks it out. Goal kick. What a surprise.

76': Commentators can't stand the referees. You guys and me too buddy.

77:50': Dempsey moves around and draws a foul. Another free-kick very close to goal. Here we go Donovan. Put it in.

78': Bradley blasts a shot on goal and the goalie stops it. God bless this goalie is putting on a wall. This is incredible.

79:54': Beasley is on for Bornstein. Come on US! Let's get that last minute goal.

80:31': Dempsey gets smacked in the face. Captain for Algeria shouldve been red carded. Surprise the ref doesn't call it.

82': Altidore is taken down after an excellent run. It is incredible to see what the US goes through to score one goal. God bless.

83': Dempsey hits a free kick high. And DeMarcus is ran over. Is there a reason Algeria still has 11 men on the field?

84:30': We can see the US pushing and pushing. This is just amazing to see the drive.

86': DeMerit clears. Its tough to watch this. The US deserves to win this. So many calls not made. So many chances unconverted. And the heart of this team is just pouring out onto the field.

87:41': Referee is simply bad. He is horrible. Calls not happening. Goals being wrongfully disallowed. This is heart wrenching.

88': Buddle is with Jozy with 2 defenders and plays it wrong. Beasley is yellow carded for 'handball'. Yet he used his chest.

90:04': 4 minutes of extra time. Come on USA.

91:36': GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL

92': GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL

93:' GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL

94:' USA MOVE ON ! USA MOVE ON ! USA MOVE ON ! GOL DE DONOVAN GOL DE DONOVAN ! Man of the match goes to Altidore in my eyes. His passion and drive for the ball just kept coming and never died. Donovan a close second but my goodness. Props to Algeria for never stopping and always pushing. But my goodness. Celebrate today. And I quote an inspirational man in my life, 'we might be done today, but we play again tomorrow'.
